Lebanese Cultural Union
(WLCU) is an international, secular,
non-denominational, non-profit organization sponsored by the Government
of Lebanon in cooperation with Lebanese emigrants abroad. Its
objectives are:
To
unite the talents and capabilities of emigrants for the purpose of
supporting the motherland socially and economically
To preserve the cultural and
traditional ties of the emigrants with Lebanon
To promote the teaching and preservation
of the Arabic language and culture
Edmonton
Chapter
The
Edmonton Chapter is made up of membership of Lebanese Canadians and a
volunteer executive. Together
we organize and participate in many
activities
locally, nationally and abroad. You can find more information in

Objectives
To
promote unity and cooperation among Canadians of Lebanese origin
To strengthen cultural and
educational ties between the province of Alberta and Lebanon
To promote stronger economic,
trade and tourism relations between Canada and Lebanon
To strengthen relations among
all Lebanese and Arabic associations locally, provincially and
nationally
To cooperate with other
associations in sponsoring events of national interest
To encourage sports, cultural
and educational activities among the youth
To provide social, cultural and
educational services for the community.
